Autism Service Providers / Behavior Technicians
Behavior Technicians work 1:1 with children with autism providing ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy. Typically sessions are 3-3 1/2 hours in length. Before staff are able to work independently within the child's home, 40 hours of training are required.
The majority of this training occurs in 2-4 hours blocks and must be completed at the Autism and Behavior Center. During this training we work toward preparing you for the responsibility of implementing therapy independently within the child's home. Our training includes an understanding of Autism, Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial training, social reciprocity and how to use creative and fun ways to teach a variety of skills.
This position is extremely challenging but also extremely rewarding. This position has a dramatic impact in the lives of children and families. Because of the impact which a Line Staff has on our organization as well as within the lives of children we require a minimum of a one year commitment for this position. Please consider this role sincerely.
